Fun Friday Favorites: A little fashion and a lot of spring break

Well, I’ve done my best to showcase some great tops for spring.  Because we all know that it’s time to organize our closets and move the winter clothes to the waaaaayyy back and bring up the spring tops front and center.  I’d love to say that I’ve been so productive this week while the boys have been on spring break, except for NOT.  No.  I will be organizing my clothes and packing my sweaters into tubs NEXT WEEK.  Because with us partaking in a lot of spring break activities this week, there was no time for productivity.  Only playing outdoors, riding bikes, visiting grandmas and grandpas, eating our share of Jaarsma Bakery frosted sugar cookies, baking Leprechaun Brownies…you get the picture.  We have been living it up like BOSS around here.

But fear not.  I have some fashion for today’s Fun Friday Favorites.

1.  Billabong Shed Some Light Henley top –

Isn't this top from Scheel's so cute?!

Isn’t this top from Scheel’s so cute?!

I’m loving the stripes and the color.  How cute would this look with some white skinny jeans?  Or shorts like the model is wearing?  I’m wanting to add more stripes into my wardrobe this spring.  This top was on the Scheel’s website and the price is reasonable, too.

2.  Old Navy’s Linen-Blend Boyfriend Tee –

Love the grey

Love the charcoal gray

This tee has such a nice, blousey, full look to it.  I wear tees A LOT and just throw on two or three necklaces with them to dress them up.  I would wear this with jeans, shorts, or a maxi skirt.  And Old Navy offers so many colors in this style.  Love it.

3.  Old Navy’s Mixed-Stripe Top –

More stripes that I am loving

More stripes…love it

Yes, this top resembles the top I highlighted from Scheel’s.  What can I say?  I’m trying to talk you into adding more stripes to your wardrobe, too.  This would look great with some skinny jeans or cuffed up capris.  Old Navy…once again, you are reasonable in your pricing.  How can we ever thank you?

4.  Old Navy’s Perfect V-neck Tee –

I'll take one in every color

I’ll let you in on my secret.  I wear A LOT of tee’s and every single time, I just add three or four bracelets, and a necklace or two and BOOM.  You’ve gone from looking blah to a little bit o’ fashion.  Accessorize, accessorize my friends.  That’s the key when wearing a simple, cute tee like this Old Navy tee…Oh, the apple guava color is just presh.  Love it.

5.  Von Maur’s Earth Dolman Top –

Why yes...another tee.

Why yes…another tee.

Okay.  We are all seeing a pattern here.  Tee.  Jewelry.  Tee.  Jewelry.  See how this model threw on a chunky necklace and made this tee look great?  I love this color.  This one is at Von Maur in the contemporary department.

6.  Old Navy’s Checked shirt –

Such a springtime plaid

Such a springtime plaid

Because not everyone loves a plain tee…here’s a checked shirt.  How cute does this look with white skinny jeans??  I love the blues in this shirt, too.  Throw on some gold necklaces and a few gold bangles and you’ll look Da’ Bomb. (Sorry for that reference, but the boys are watching Cars 2 while I type this and Mater just said the bomb.  I know…I’m easily influenced by my surroundings.)  This top is at Old Navy so, if you head there this weekend, you’ll have MANY tops to purchase since I’ve highlighted many of their tops on today’s blog.  You are welcome.  I try to make our lives easier. 🙂

7.  My Perfect Pasta Salad –

Mmmmm....

Mmmmm….

I know on Tuesday, I talked about this pasta salad that I made.  BUT SERIOUSLY.  It is soooo easy and so delicious.  If you’re grilling this weekend, you’ll want to make this.  Perfect Pasta Salad recipe  *It lasts for days in the refrigerator.  To “freshen” it up, squeeze a little Zesty Italian dressing over it to moisten it up.  Sooooo yummy!

Well, maybe I’ll see you at Old Navy this weekend.  Together, we can shop for our cute spring tees in solid prints AND STRIPES.  If you make some Perfect Pasta Salad, let me know how it goes!  Or make the Leprechaun Springtime Brownies brownie recipe …those are so easy and super yummy!

Have a wonderful weekend!!
