If this hasn’t been a super busy week, then I don’t know what to say. You all. This springtime busyness has me going nonstop. Bob Seger was right…we were running’ against the wind. All. Week. Long. Running against the wind.
It might be a busy week, but there’s always time for some Fun Friday Favorites!
- Women’s Brunch –
Last Saturday, I had the honor to speak at the Stonebridge Women’s Brunch. By far, it was one of my favorites! It was their biggest turnout EVER and the morning was perfect. The ladies did a fabulous job decorating, the food was delish, and to see women visiting and enjoying time together made my heart all big and full. I was worried that my speaking would run over (I’ve never been one short on words 😉 ), but God timed it all perfectly and I was so blessed to share the morning with all of those wonderful women.
2. Birthday Week for Maxim –
The biggest news of the week was our baby turning 7. Wait. WHAT??!? Where has time gone? Well, here in our household, we celebrate Birthday Week.
{Birth-day Week} noun. 1.) A week long celebration of one’s birthday. 2.) The act of celebrating one’s birthday for an ENTIRE week.
With birthday balloons on Tuesday, Maxim’s actual birthday on Wednesday, Maxim’s birthday party with his friends on Saturday, and then…one more birthday party for him on Sunday…we party hard around here.(In all of the busyness, I didn’t write Maxim a birthday letter yet, here on the blog. Be looking for that next week.)
But I will share with you a few pictures of our sweet baby who is growing up way too fast!
Wednesday…April 27th…Happy Birthday Maxim Sage!! xoxo
Birthday Week is an absolute favorite of mine. So blessed to have this sweet seven year old! Happy Birthday Maxim and we love you always!! xoxo Mommy and Daddy
3. Lemon Cake –
In a hankering moment for something lemony, I whipped up Lemon Cake the afternoon of Maxim’s birthday. He loves lemon flavored things and this was a hit. (Along with the fudge brownies I made Wednesday afternoon, too. #welovesweets) Now, let me clarify. Maxim will get The Best Cake EVER along with the Best Frosting EVER (click on link below for the famous recipes…

The Best Cake EVER and Best Frosting EVER will not be made until this afternoon. Those (yes, plural…I’m making two cakes) will be enjoyed at the Saturday and Sunday birthday parties.
But, this Lemon Cake. It was GOOD.
I baked the Duncan Hines Lemon Supreme cake mix in a bundt pan (follow directions on the box). Then, for the lemon glaze, I brought 4 TBSP butter and 3 TBSP lemon juice to a boil. Then, removed from the stove and whisked in 2 cups of powdered sugar. Once cooled, I frosted the cake. #delicious
If you make it, let me know what you think! The lemony glaze goes perfectly with the lemon bundt cake!
4. My book update –
So, this happened yesterday…
You know, I am more confident than ever that God is going to continue showing off His mighty ways and miracles as I walk with Him down this journey of becoming a published author. Your words of support and all of your prayers mean the world to me. God has this and I am beyond thrilled that He is in control. #praybig #believeinmiracles
That’s all for Fun Friday Favorites! Have a wonderful weekend enjoying time with friends and family! And thank you again for following my blog…I’ve got the BEST blog readers in the entire world! Â xo ~ Angela Banae
