Fun Friday Favorites: Hello (from me, not Adele) and…Target, you never disappoint

Well. If it hasn’t been FOREVER. How are you??! Golly, it’s been almost TWO MONTHS since I’ve blogged. I’ve missed you guys so much. I’d like to write that I was on a sabbatical, but that isn’t true. Or that I was backpacking for two months across Europe and didn’t have Wi-Fi, but we know that’s impossible (both the backpacking part and Europe not having Wi-Fi). Or I could come up with some other reason, but the truth is…it’s been so busy around here that I’m not sure if we are coming or going. Both boys were in football, I began substitute teaching at Maxim’s school, I taught our church’s Monday night Bible study with a bunch of awesome women, on Wednesday nights I have been helping teach the kindergarten through fifth grade youth group, and that left not one. single. night home. When we would get home, it was: ย do the laundry, eat, dishes, homework, baths, bedtime routine…making it impossible to find time to sit down and write. Or even watch t.v. for that matter. And that, my friends, is what you call “The Days of Our Lives”. I’m going to cherish them because this is real life living with my people I love.

And that’s a glimpse of our busy life lately.

Now listen, dear friends. Though life lately has been busy…I’ve missed you all. I mean, seriously. I have the BEST readers EVER. Many of you asked over the past few months…”when is a new blog post going up?”. Others sent me the sweetest messages missing Fun Friday Favorites. (I love you, Jolie!) You all are just the bomb-diggady. I heart every single one of you. So, thank you for being patient while I took a little time off. But I’m back. And thrilled to be blogging and sharing life with you!

Enough of the yada, yada, yada. Let’s get on with today’s post about my favorites this week.ย I made it super easy for you today. It’s all at Target. One stop shopping today, my friends. Oh, Target. You are such a good one stop shop. (Hubby and our bank account might disagree, but I think you are wonderful!) Now, of course, I won’t highlight boring ol’ groceries, or toilet paper, or the toothpaste we are currently using. NO. Let’s see some FUN STUFF! Here we go…Fun Friday Favorites!!

  1. Believe shirt from Target –
I had to get this shirt ;)

I had to get this shirt ๐Ÿ˜‰

This was only $12.99 and it was begging for me to buy it. With absolutely no shame, I said yes and put it in my shopping cart. I love the gray sleeves and the cute little Santa hat on the letter B. Throw it on with some gray jeans or whatever skinny jeans you’ve got and some comfy Converse tennis shoes and you’ve got a cute-as-pie comfy and casual outfit for the holidays.

2. “Baby it’s cold outside” outdoor rug from Target ย –

I saw this at Target and Nate wanted to do some late birthday shopping for me (when they got me birthday presents back in September, he felt like Max picked everything out. So, he wanted to do a little belated birthday shopping…by all means, YES) ๐Ÿ˜‰ He got me this rug and I love it. When Nate was 2 or 3 years old, I’d have him on my hip and we’d run into Target to get out of the blistering cold and I’d sing “Baby, it’s cold outside” to him every. single. time. It’s kind of our song around this Christmas season. ๐Ÿ™‚ Anyhoo. This rug is only $12.99…that’s a deal!

3. Red plaid Merona shirt from Target –

That’s right. It wouldn’t be a blog post without me throwing in some plaid. This shirt buttons down about 1/2 way and is a perfect length for leggings. $22.99 at your local Target or shop online from the comfort of your own home/desk/phone. You’ll be happy you got this plaid shirt, trust me.

4. ย Charcoal Leatherette Notebook journal from the Dollar Spot at Target –

Isn't this notebook cute?!

Such a fancy name, eh? A leatherette notebook. Well. I intend on carrying this in my purse (it’s about the size of a 4×6 photo). I’m always needing to write down something. Or perhaps it’ll be my gratitude journal? Not sure, but it was $5 and I had to have it.

5. Plaid Zipper Clutch from the Dollar Spot at Target –

Okay. So the Xbox game is in the picture only to show you a size reference. But this plaid clutch is ADORBS. I plan to put all of my Christmas receipts in it. Because I have what some folks might say “a rather large” purse, it will be in there…to help me stay organized during the holiday season. And for $3, this was another MUST HAVE. Darn you, Dollar Spot. I have no self-control over cute AND reasonably priced items.

6. Chalkboard Easel (again…from the Dollar Spot at Target) –

How cute is this??!

How cute is this??!

This little guy (or easel, whatever) is going to sit on our counter top and my plan is to write festive messages on it throughout the Christmas season. Perhaps I’ll put it near one of our many little Christmas displays…by a cute little evergreen, or near some reindeer? I love the chalkboard look and again…it was a bargain, coming in at a whopping $3. #sold

7. Doggie clothes from the Dollar Spot at Target –

Pink doggie clothes for our pup :)

Somebody hold me. Seriously. The cuteness of these little doggie clothes was just about more than I could handle. Daisy raked it in. She is now the proud owner of a Sherpa jacket, Sherpa bomber hat, and two darling knit sweaters. (The little knit hat with the white furry pom pom on top is going back to the store. That thing will not stay on Daisy, though for the life of me, I tried and tried. I am sad to return it. Daisy, on the other hand, might be doing the happy dance to know that she will not have to wear that annoying hat that she just wanted to bite off. #dogproblems) The sweaters are each $5 and the Sherpa jacket and bomber hat are each $3. That, my friends, is what you call a REAL DEAL.

"Mom, seriously. Take the picture," Daisy pleaded.

“Mom, seriously. Take the darn picture,” Daisy pleaded.

Well, that wraps up today’s Fun Friday Favorites! I hope you enjoyed it! What was your favorite? The fashion? The little Dollar Spot items? Or the doggie attire? Do tell! And scoot off to Target before these adorable items are gone!

Have a wonderful weekend! xo ~ Angela Banae

Fun! So glad to see “F Cubed” is back in order. And Daisy is too much cuteness. Have fun dressing her this winter! And the fact that you and Nate have that cute little saying reminds that Ryder’s ( my 5yo) favorite Christmas movie is White Christmas! I know, I know. I love it too. Makes me feel as though I have taught him a thing or two! ๐Ÿ˜‰

Thanks for sharing, I always enjoy it!

Oh, my! If Daisy Mae isn’t just the cutest little thing! Love her new attire and it cracks me up the way she looks like she is modeling!!! ๐Ÿ˜‚
You all are busy! But I can see you’re never too busy to get a little shopping in! Lol!
    Love you! ๐Ÿ’œ
