Merry Christmas!

Like most everyone, we’ve been busy around here. Amidst the making Oreo Balls (which did not turn out well this year) (I’m blaming the red frosting in the Oreo cookies), frosting the delicious sugar cookies, wrapping presents, attending Christmas parties, and telling myself to BACK AWAY FROM THE COOKIES, we’ve had a lot of Christmas fun. With some “Ho Ho Ho” and “Jingle Bell Rock”, we’ve been singing our way through the days, counting down to Christmas. And tomorrow. Christmas will be here. WE CANNOT WAIT.

In all of the hustle and bustle of the Christmas season, I pray you’ll find time to reflect on the greatest gift…our Savior. You all. I am still amazed every. single. time I read the Christmas story in Luke 2:1-20. I love how God had an angel appear to shepherds. Shepherds who were just doing their job, living out in the fields, watching their sheep. They were doing their job and an angel (AN ANGEL…that would be incredible to see) appeared to them telling them the good news. “For there is born to you this day in the city of David a Savior, who is Christ the Lord.”

The shepherds went and found our Savior, Jesus, lying in a manager. Then, they went and told others they good news. Hope was here. Pure love had come to this world. Joy. Peace. Our Savior was born; God sent His Son to a world in need.

After they shared the good news of our Savior being born, they returned to their work, glorifying and praising God for all they had heard and seen. This season, I want to remember to give God glory and praise for all He has done. We have so much to be thankful for. #blessed
