Dear Maxim,
I can’t believe a week ago, you turned 7! Where in the world is time going? In the usual manner of celebrating like we do, we celebrated your birthday all week AND all weekend long. We know a good thing when we see something and you, my love, are a good thing. 🙂
Celebrating with lots of your friends!
Go Steelers! Not the best decorated cake, but it’s oh. so. good. #yummycake
Celebrating with family
Seven years old!
Seven years ago, at 10:15 p.m., God brought you into our world and my heart has never been the same. I didn’t know that I could love another son as much as I loved Nate, but in typical “God and His ways”…He showed me differently. Instantly, the moment you were born, I was in love all over again. My heart had doubled in size and your daddy and I were over the moon in love with you, just like we had experienced when Nate was born.
We welcomed you into the world, Maxim Sage, on April 27, 2009…7 lbs. 11 oz.
As I became a mom to the two best boys ever, I saw how unique each of you were. I remember when you were about six months old, our cousin Annie asking me, “Ang, does Max ever cry?” to which I had to stop and ponder…After thinking for awhile, I responded, “Ummm….no, not really. When he’s hungry, he just roots and grunts. I guess I can’t think of many times when he has cried.” #truth #youweresuchahappybaby
Such a happy baby!
Sweet Maxim Sage 🙂
“Hey Mommy, let’s get my muscles out!” you said, so I rolled up your sleeves 🙂 #sweet3yearold
A brave boy and his frogs 🙂
And that’s been you, Maxim Sage…so easy going and such a happy boy. You have such a tender spirit and yet, you can let out the best belly laugh at any given moment, too. For being one of the biggest boys in first grade, you sure are a gentle giant. Not to mention the fact that though there are four years between you and your big brother, you both wear the same shoe size now and you only weigh about three pounds less than Nate.
Speaking of your big brother, Daddy and I love seeing how you and Nate truly are the best of friends. You boys love playing basketball together, exploring out at the farm together, and are always having fun together playing with your buddies in the neighborhood. With your brother as one of your biggest fans and fiercely protective of you, you know that Nate is always watching out for you. #brotherlylove

You are reading chapter books like crazy! #booksarethebest
You loved wearing a tie & snazzy shoes for your Christmas program at school. (though you don’t ALWAYS like to wear ‘handsome shirts’)
Maxim, you make our family complete.
