Back on the blog! And…Fun Friday Favorites

Well, it has been forever and a moon since I’ve been on the blog! I’ve missed you all immensely and it’s so good to be back.

Wednesday night, I woke up at 3 a.m. and couldn’t get back to sleep. (I blame it on the delicious sushi and Chinese from our favorite place, Sushi House.)

Anyway, insomnia or not, I laid there and pondered how to get back into the blogging world. Do I recap the past nine months of my life in what would be the longest blog post known to man? Or do I just make a list of all the things that we’ve been up to? (I’m a big fan of lists and I find reading them utterly enjoyable.) Or do I break out in tune? Well, the ’80s girl in me won because all I could think about was Lionel Richie’s 1984 tune that reached #1 on three Billboard music charts…

Hello, is it me you’re looking for?

I can see it in your eyes.

I can see it in your smile.

Okay, sorry about that flashback. Let’s just say…Hello. I’m so glad to be back up here blogging and I look forward to doing this regularly. #soexcited

A brief update on how we’ve been is well overdue. Nate is having a good year in 7th grade and Maxim is enjoying 3rd grade. Both boys played football in the fall and are finishing up their basketball seasons. Hubby is still working for the same wonderful company and I’m substitute teaching at Max’s school, writing Bible studies, blogging, and running boys from practice to practice and basketball game to basketball game. Basically, your every day mom duties. And I can’t forget our sweet Beagle, Daisy. She’s wonderful, enjoys her treats, has the nickname “Turtleneck Chubs” because the treats are going to her neckline, and yes, we are still working on her not being tempted to eat her poo. #thestrugglecontinues

One of the most exciting things that I can’t wait to tell you more about is a Bible study I’ve been writing. Finding God’s Grace in This Messy World will soon be available for purchase. Now, it’s not in official physical book format (YET), it’ll be more like an e-book that I’ve created. Soon, very soon, as in a few days or three (insert big emoji eyes here😳), it will be available for purchase and download. I have a whole blog post to explain my journey, but friends, be looking for it. It’s going to be soooooo good. And with the study, I’ll be interacting with readers on Facebook in my second edition of a Facebook Live Bible Study. (Follow me on Facebook at Angela Banae!) So, if you’re looking for a good read and wanting to learn more about finding God’s grace, then stay tuned!

Alright, I think it’s time for Fun Friday Favorites!

Before Christmas, I bought this sweater in gray and it’s so cozy. They now have it in purple or mint, which would be perfect spring. I love this sweater!

Hubby bought me a black pair of these leggings for Christmas and they are as soft as budda. I had always heard about how wonderful the lululemon leggings are & they are absolutely correct. They are my absolute fav! Confession: I wore them so much over Christmas break (yes, several consecutive days in a row) that I told Hubby I would love another pair. And guess what? One night, the boys and I came home from basketball practice and there was a bag on the kitchen island…he went back to the store and bought me TWO more pairs!!! #surprisegiftsaresosweet #heisthebest  I cannot tell you how amazing these leggings are…you must get a pair.

3. Whisper…How to Hear the Voice of God by Mark Batterson –

The boys and I went to Barnes & Noble last Saturday and I found this new book by Mark Batterson. My uncle Jim had loaned me The Circle Maker, which is by Mark Batterson, and I absolutely loved it. I’m about half way through this book and it’s been so encouraging to me. Definitely a recommended read!

4. My favorite salad –

I posted this picture on my Instagram story the other day. (Follow me at angela_banae☺️). I could eat this salad every. single. day. Romaine lettuce, blue cheese crumbles, a few pieces of bacon, cherry tomatoes, and some Panera Greek salad dressing (find it in the refrigerator section at the grocery store). It’s so delish!

5. ALL OF THIS SNOW!!!

Nate and his sled

Maxim and his sled

We are loving the snow piling up around here so we can ride our snowmobiles. It’s been fun to do this as a family. With the forecasters predicting 6-8 inches of snow over the next two days, our family couldn’t be happier!

WHEW. A long post that was long overdue! I hope you enjoyed the blog today and are as excited as I am about being a regular back on here! Would you do me a favor today? Give this post a like. Or write a comment. Say…Hello (okay, enough with Lionel). I’d love to see who all is back with me. We must be in solidarity friends. Faith, family, fashion, food, and fun…that’s what Angela Banae is all about!

Have a great weekend!

xo ~
