Fun Friday Favorites: Nail polish, Thanksgiving decor, and the boys

It’s Friday!! My favorite day of the week. Today’s post is a random list of things. I felt it necessary to share some nail polish favs. And with Thanksgiving upon us at the end of the month, I have some decor I found that would be wonderful in your cozy home. Also, I am taking time to reflect on what the boys are doing lately. We get so busy and I don’t want to rush these days. #rememberingsweetmoments

Let’s get right to Fun Friday Favorites…

1. Color Binge nail polish by Essie at Target –

A great fall color!

Color Binge

My friend, Tiffany, gave me this nail polish for my birthday and I LOVE it!! Color Binge. A great color for fall and you can purchase it at Target.

2. Essie Nail Gel Setter –

This works friends. It gives such a shiny, clear coat over your nail polish, making them look like you had your nails done at a salon. I love this stuff! Again, it’s available at Target (IF they aren’t sold out. It’s hard to keep in stock.) and you’ll be glad you use this over your nail polish. #shinynails

3. Thankful pillow from Target –

I love this!

Every time I go to Target, I eye this pillow. THANKFULLY, I’m showing a little self-control. Hahaha 🙂 Though I can’t guarantee for how long. A throw pillow is an easy way to decorate for the holidays.

4. Give thanks pillow from Magnolia Market –

Another great throw pillow

I LOVE this throw pillow. Chip and Joanna Gaines (from the television show “Fixer Upper”) have an online store that you MUST check out. This pillow is on my wish list. Check out their site at Magnolia Market.

5. Turkey figurine from Nordstrom –

A perfect centerpiece

Yes. I’ve been wanting a turkey centerpiece for the past year or so. Maybe this will be the year I finally purchase one. This turkey from Nordstrom’s website is such a classic Thanksgiving decoration.

6. Maxim and his puzzle pieces –

Maxim loves his states

Ever since we went to South Dakota in July (check out the blogs Our family vacation to the Black Hills part 2…and we saw some buffalo and Our family vacation to the Black Hills part 3…Mount Rushmore was stunning), Maxim has been obsessed with South Dakota and other states. We have a Melissa and Doug “USA Map” floor puzzle. Well, Maxim has taken out his favorite states and I’ll find them around the house. Just laying around. Or when we went to my parents last month for the weekend, he packed a box of “treasures” and some state puzzle pieces made it down to Grandma Melanie’s and Papa Joe’s.

This is how Maxim packs for a weekend sleepover. His “treasures” 🙂

I love Maxim’s packing choices. Hand sanitizer, an old cell phone that no longer works, state puzzle pieces, a Playmobil catalog, and some books. The important things, of course. Just another reminder of how much I love our six year old.

7. Nate’s love for football cards –

So he’s got a few football cards…

Nate came home from school yesterday and decided to spread out his football cards ALL OVER THE FLOOR. To admire them, of course. Evidently, the fifth grade boys are into trading football cards over the lunch hour. Nate has many cards in a football card three-ring binder, but he has a large zip lock bag of cards, also. He took the bag of cards and got to work; he was so busy laying out his football cards, that he didn’t want to stop to get ready for basketball practice. This is one of my favorite things this week. Love our little card collector!! The boys won’t stay little forever and I want to remember these moments.

Have a wonderful weekend and remember to enjoy the little things! ~ xo Angela Banae
